Well, round 3 was much more difficult (for me). Here is the inspiration piece
We were also given a color palette
The challenge was to use the photo as an inspiration piece (don't forget about the moon), and as many colors as we wanted from the palette. We also had to choose 1 additional color to add to the palette and we weren't allowed to use any CU tools aside from what we received in the prize from Round 2.
at least 10 papers, at least 3 solid
24 elements
So, I had held off telling my husband about the contest, but I had been so excited I made it to Round 3, that I told him then. I showed him the new picture and he told me it made him feel like traveling the world. So I thought and I thought and tried to figure out how I could tie that in to the moon. I am always thinking about songs in my head and I my head kept jumping to the song "Somewhere Out There" from "An American Tail". So I designed a kit with the line "it helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky" to help direct my kit. My kit is supposed to be that all over the world, we all share the same sky and that no matter where we go, we always have that same sky above us.
